Preface

We would like to welcome you to our online Ham Shack. We have dedicated many hours to building, maintaining, and adding to our Shack in the hopes that it will help further and better the hobby of Amateur Radio by providing useful information for all to use.

Ham-Shack.com is designed to provide new and potential Hams with the information they will need to get started in the hobby. We take a different path from the traditional instructing method - we use music, graphics, and even humor to make the learning process easier and more fun. Amateur Radio is as old as radio itself, and its future is no less fantastic than its past.

The hobby of Amateur Radio is more than just talking on the radio - it is also a valuable service. Having the technical knowledge, knowing the proper operating procedures, and being able to serve when needed are invaluable qualities in a Ham Radio operator. This site is intended to provide a source of information for all Hams, so that we may continue to live up to and meet our standards as Amateur Radio operators.

We hope to get a chance to meet each of you on the air someday, and we would personally like to welcome you to the exciting world of Amateur Radio! Good luck and 73's!
